Very much looking for some feedback from people who are not so tied into the Lake Street area! We've had more than enough of those comments to last us a lifetime. So please let me know what you think of this brochure we are making. Opinions especially welcome on the middle picture on the cover (with the people eating and laughing), and on the shot that is TO THE LEFT OF the bowling girl (NOT the girl herself, the one to the left). But all other comments welcome to. Except on any spelling or grammar things, I guarantee we're already working on those.

You can also download the PDF here to take a closer look, it's about 3 MB.

Thank you!

I understand the comment about the bowling picture re: direction the eyes are moved. This is a very touching photo and should definitely be kept because Lake Street has so much to offer for kids. To me it makes sense to have that photo in the lower left quadrant, so attention--flowing from the cute kid to the bowling ball--flows out and down beyond the picture to the text. You might try just reshuffling the order so the vertical picture is to the right. The issue of the abundance of blonde hair, etc. is not something that I would have thought of on my own, but a graphic artist would probably agree that there is too much bright/white on that side of the graphic block.

Regarding the picture of the laughing couple: The theme of this picture is great--animated, socially engaged couples having a good time. Photo probably needs to be shot from a different angle, so the back of heads is not so domimant. The grouping is good--posed proprietor of retail shop, unposed snapshot of visitors to Lake Street enjoying themselves on a daily basis at Lake Street cafe or restaurant, organized special event/exotic festival taking place in the street right outside the retail shops & cafes spotlighted above.

Shot of oriental woman: This IS Lake Street. Interesting, auithentic people. I like her.

As a whole, the photos do a very good job highlighting the diversity of experiences and people on Lake Street.
